All Things Rosey with Pixi Beauty

Pixi has been one of my favourite cosmetic and skincare companies this year and I was lucky enough to be gifted with lots of their products to try out. My latest package screamed rose walled gardens and fairytales. This beautiful box arrived in the post with a rose gold lock and key. It opened telling a fairytale story like in the books you read as a child and I was filled with so much excitement. Inside my box of goodies were two new skincare products for me to try, the Rose Caviar Essence and the Rose Flash Balm however it also included their new range of MatteLast Liquid Lipsticks in five different gorgeous shades.

The Rose Caviar Essence is suitable for all skin types and claims to hydrate, brighten, nourish and soften the skin. The product contains capsules which contain fresh rose and flower oils. They recommend you use this proxy after cleaning and toning. To press a coin size amount gently into the skin. The encapsulated moisture serum feels lovely on the skin and instantly hydrates creating a really nourishing feeling on the skin. Personally I would apply this product at night after your skincare routine so that your skin can really benefit from all the good that the product can do however you can apply this am or pm as it is a serum based product. I’m really getting more and more into my skincare at the moment and I am so excited to use this more often to see all of its benefits. This product retails at £26.

The Rose Flash Balm is a 3-in-1 formula made with rose water and olive leaf extracts which claim to moisturise, prime or use as a hydrating mask. To use this private simply apply a thin layer of the product onto the skin before applying your make-up to use as a primer or if your skin is feeling a little dry and needs some care and attention apply a thicker layer and leave to soak into the skin as a hydrating mask. I love this product. The 3-in-1 formula means it has so many uses. When you first apply the product is appears like a moisturiser in consistency but when soaked into the skin it creates a protective layer like a primer to stop your make-up from getting into the pores of your face. This product also retails at £26.

If using both products together I would cleanse and tone the skin before applying the serum. I would wait for that to soak in before applying the moisturising primer and wait again before applying any foundation or BB cream. Both products smells divine, they both smell floral but not overly rosey which I personally love. If I was to compare the smell it would be similar to the new fragrance by Gucci, Gucci Bloom.

The MatteLast Liquid Lipsticks are infused with rose hip seed oil meaning that they are beneficial for the lips. They claim to hydrate the lips, to be long-wearing and quick drying and I have to agree with them. When applying the lipstick the applicator makes it really simply. Each lipstick has a petal shaped applicator which makes it easy for the product to glide over the lips for full colour payoff in a single stroke creating a matte veil finish. In the box I receive five different shades of pink from natural tones to a deep rose pink. These included the shades; Au Naturelle, Matte Beige, Pastel Petal, Really Rose and Evening Rose. Each colour is vibrant and gorgeous. They a quick drying lipstick which is so important to reduce the risk of smudging however doesn’t dry out the lips a lot Luke many other liquid lipsticks on the market. Each lipstick retails at £16 are were the winners of the Cosmopolitan Beauty Awards UK 2017.

All Pixi Beauty products are partly made with natural ingredients and are completely cruelty free. You can buy all of these products on the Pixi website, on CultBeauty and Marks and Spencers.
