I’m finally on the mend after contracting a chest infection which needed a strong dose of antibiotics to cure so I’m back with another blog post to share my newest and most exciting collaboration with the brand Nasty Gal. I was contacted by their PR team a few weeks ago where I got to chose a few items of clothing from their website which was super exciting for a small time blogger like myself.

Slogan tee’s have been en trend for years but they are making another comeback this Spring/Summer with them in every shop window or website. I picked the In Your Dreams Cropped Tee which retails normally at £15, however with the code PARTY you can get 30% off all tops, dresses and shoes making this tee only £10.50. This deal also includes free next day delivery which is an offer not to be missed. This tee is super soft and comfortable to wear, it’s grey and red combination is perfect for effortless style. I have paired this tee with a pair of Pinstripe Paper-bag Trousers from Pull and Bear, the Camila Luxe Faux Fur Jacket from Topshop and a pair of Sale Statement Silver Booties from Newlook.

Top | Nasty Gal | £15

Jacket | Topshop | £69

Trousers | Pull & Bear | £19.99

Boots | Newlook | £11 (Sale)

I can’t believe we are in the second month of 2018 already, even though January was the longest yet most chaotic ever. I was hoping to get some blog post images taken throughout the month but with university interviews, portfolio building, mock exams, coursework deadlines, poor weather and work being manic as always I just never found the time. It’s now the 5th of February and I’m bed ridden, full of cold and wishing I was in Bora Bora. Besides all that, being ill it has meant I have been able to catch up on some of my favourite TV which I have neglected over the month and also my blog.

Topshop has always been one of my all time favourite high-street brands but of course I am a student so to be able to afford half of the items out there I would need to take out a separate loan. However there is a reason I carry out so much overtime in the holidays, so that maybe I can treat myself to a piece or two. ‘Millennial Pink’ seems to be the colour of ‘now’ with it in every shop window and display; not that I am complaining of course, pink is awesome and very flattering. Collating my favourite ‘Millennial Pink’ trends was certainly exciting, there’s everything from track pants, corduroy jackets, kitten heel boots and faux fur. It was screaming my name.

These loafers have definitely got some Gucci vibes going on. I love the Gucci Loafers but not having a couple hundred to spare, the originals are definitely out of my price range. The Topshop Leather Key Trim Loafers are to die for and retail at £46, a much more affordable price. These would be perfectly paired with jeans and a blouse in the warmer months to come. And as for these boots, wow. I love a stiletto heel as much as the next girl but these Topshop Hazzard Ankle Boots are heavenly. However these bad boys will set you back a mere £89 which will not be good for the bank balance.  These are well out of my budget but we can always dream ay?

If full on pink is not your thing, the ‘Austin’ Cropped Sweatshirt By Tee and Cake at Topshop is a subtle way of allowing ‘Millennial Pink’ to make an appearance in your SS18 wardrobe. However paired with these adorable Corduroy High Waisted Peg Trousers  the trend is back in full swing. The sweatshirt retails at £28 whilst the trousers at £45. Continuing with the corduroy theme, I’ve fallen in love with this oversized jacket and mini skirt combo. The MOTO Cord Oversized Jacket and the MOTO Buckle Cord Skirt will set you back over £80 combined but makes an iconic statement piece in your wardrobe. Although not stereotypically ‘Millennial Pink’, this raspberry tone is one of my favourite from this collection.

Faux fur and flowy satin. A match made in heaven if you ask me. This combination is perfect for a night out. The Camilla Luxe Faux Fur Jacket, retails at £79 which isn’t overly extortionate for a Topshop jacket however will certainly set you back a bit. Whereas the Satin Scallop Camisole Top is a very reasonable £16, definitely a purchase I will be making soon; plus it comes in a range of different colours.

Nothing beats a warm and cosy roll neck at this time of year especially one that is so en trend, bursting with pink and red. I’m so on board with this whole red and pink ‘thing’ that’s goin’ on but as of yet, been too afraid to ‘attempt’ pulling it off, maybe this will be my year. This Colour Block Roll Neck Jumper retails at £42 but definitely worth every single penny. Side stripes have definitely been the most popular trend this year, mainly inspired by the sports brand Adidas. This style has been incorporated in suits, jackets and many more typically ‘smart’ attire which I LOVE, my favourite piece being the Sugar Pink Track Trousers which retail at £30.

What’s your favourite piece from this collection?

Usually I tend to go mad when I hear the world sale but instead, this year I knew what I wanted to purchase and looked around for the best price. I have been wanting a new pair of trainers for a while now as I haven’t had a new pair since my birthday and really wanted some other than my Reebok Classics in white. I started off by looking through my regular sites such as ASOS, Office and Schuh but didn’t come across any major bargains. I soon decided that the pair of trainers I was after was a new pair of New Balance in grey. I searched that exact phrase and it came up with some other sites I would of never of thought to look at before such as M&M Direct and Size?. I finally found my dream pair of trainers and they were around half price. Yep, 46% off to be exact. I managed to bag a pair of NEW BALANCE 520 in a beautiful shade of grey, exactly what I was looking for but for £35.

I also ordered the Reebok Classics Club C in Pink and I managed to get them for £14.99, £14.99. However they were completely out of my usual size and the size up was too big unfortunately but they still have a few sizes left. These bargain trainers were from M&M Direct Clearance Sale which is definitely worth checking out!

I have linked below some more trainer discounts which I have managed to find as well.

Reebok Leather Classics – Metallics – £35

New Balance 520 – Beige – £50

Old Skool Vans – Khaki & Beige – £45

Nike SB Janoski’s – Black – £45

Reebok Classics Club C 85

New Balance 574 – Black and Silver – £39.99

I also picked up some pretty amazing bargains in the Boots.com sale however most of the stock is sold out online now but you can still pick a lot of the stuff up in store! All of the items I purchased were originally from the Christmas section but were all reduced to half it’s original price by Boxing Day. I picked up a gorgeous Ted Baker Compact Mirror in Rose Gold for £5, a French Connection Wash Bag in Silver with a load of goodies inside and finally my favourite Boots bargain was the No7 gift bag I managed to pick up at my local store for £10. This included 4 full size products, the Lash Impact Ultra Mascara, Stay Perfect Rose Gold Eyeshadow Trio, the Gel Finish Nail Colour in Deep Wine and the Lovely Lips Lip Balm in Parisian Pink. In total by purchasing this sale set I saved £30.50 which is a huge saving. You can still pick up these sets in Boots stores, or you can purchase the items individually on the current 3-for-2 offer on No7 cosmetics and skincare.

I have to say I was a little bit disappointed that there was no online sale for Lush this year as there was no chance that I was getting up to go to the shops on Boxing Day. Although after heading into the store I managed to pick up a couple of gift boxes half price/up to 50% off which is such a good deal. Would definitely recommend if you are a lush addict like me, that you head over to your local store to see what bargains you can find.

What have been your favourite offers this winter?

Autumn fashion will forever be my favourite purely because of my love of coats and jackets at this time of year. Teddy bear coats have been extremely popular this season and they are available in pretty much everywhere. I thought I would spend a bit this time and invest in a winter coat that I fell in love with instantly when Topshop shared the coat over on their Twitter account.

This coat retails at £79 which is a reasonable price to pay for a lined, faux fur jacket however with the handy use of 20% student discount I got this gorgeous statement piece for around £63. The coat also comes in cream as well as this gorgeous dusky pink.

I have paired this jacket with some bargain items in my wardrobe. Primark has released some high-waisted jeans pretty much identical to the Topshop ones except they are only £9 instead of the £38-£45 you would pay for a pair of Topshop ones. I also all wearing a rib knit tee which is also from Primark for £6.

You can shop the coat here.

London Fashion Week has been and gone and I am still obsessing over my favourite street style looks from the week. The array of colours shown throughout the week was incredible and I loved the diversity that every fashion week brings. Cords are in at the moment and I am totally loving this red and hot pink combination. High-waisted flared trousers are my go-to at the moment they can be styled up with boots/heels or dressed down with a pair of trainers of slip on pumps. Red has also been a very popular and on trend colour this season which I am loving but yet to venture into. I love the simplicity of the red polo neck knit top as it can be worn with some many other components.

The trench coat is a classic jacket which will never go out of fashion. It is so versatile and can be worn with anything you want. I love how simple the jacket is however with the use of the bright orange creates a lovely contrast. Slogans have been a huge thing this year however I haven’t seen one on a bag and I have fallen in love with it straight away. The simplicity of ‘subculture’ printed onto a black leather bag created a high fashion trend which I hope is soon available in high street stores.

Silver Puffer Jacket, yes please. I love the use of metallic materials in clothing, makes a simple shaped puffer jacket into a statement piece. The use of the jacket completely upgrades a simple black outfit.

I’ll be honest, I’ve never loved mixing patterns together but I really do like this look. The use of blues and green hues in both a check and floral pattern contrast each other surprisingly well. Also the pop of bright mustard yellow in this clutch bag is a nice use of this stamen colour. Jeweled earrings, heeled boots and a stamen clutch.. what more could you ask for really?

HOT PINK. BRIGHT ORANGE. The perfect combination for London Fashion Week in my eyes. I simply love how the colour compliment each other in this street style/high fashion look. The mini croc print bag is not one that I have seen available in the shops for a while so it would be nice for this trend to be re appear so that we can all enjoy this trend.
