Autumn is in full swing and I have picked up so many lovely pieces this year for my autumn/winter wardrobe. Mustard yellow has been a very popular and ‘on-trend’ colour this year and it hasn’t stopped moving through the seasons. I picked up this lattice back, chunky knit mustard yellow jumper from Newlook. This jumper comes in 5 different colours and I have to say I want it in every single one! The lattice back, ribbed knit jumper is only £19.99 which is a very reasonable price for a winter knit jumper. I love it!     Another item I picked up from Newlook this year is this tan suedette a-line skirt and it screams Autumn. This skirt is perfect for wearing with a chunky knit jumper or a top and jacket. It can be worn in so many way and is definitely a staple item for everyone’s autumnal wardrobe.… View Post

Recently the lovely PR team at Malée Online sent me two of their products to try. I recieved their body oil and one of their soya candles. The package came with a gorgeous hand written note from the company and some super cute marble tissue paper. All of their packaging is made from recycled materials which I personally think is really important. The Moisturising Oil just screams spa. I have been using it every night putting it on after a bath to help my skin feel all soft and smooth. The oils consistency is not greasy at all and it soaks into the skin really quickly which makes it a really wearable product all day round. I actually prefer this moisturising oil to a normal moisturising cream as it soaks into the skin so much quicker than any other product I’ve ever used. It also smells incredible, just like bringing… View Post

Yellow is the hottest colour going right now and I absolutely love it! I recently had a trip to London where I purchased a gorgeous yellow cross body bag from Stradivarius which I am totally in love with as it’s a simple and cute way of adding a touch of colour to every outfit. I also purchased this sweatshirt and faux leather skirt from Missguided which are to die for. This cropped sweatshirt is perfect as it’s so cosy to wear but looks super stylish with this skirt. I’m also so in love with this skirt which will only cost you £10 if you order it using my name ‘Alex Rooke’ at checkout as you can get £5 off your order by entering my name now on the Missguided website.   The bag is a typical mustard yellow however the skirt is a lot brighter and more orange in certain… View Post

A couple of weeks ago I was browsing on Depop when I came across my dream Zara trousers, they were out of stock on the website and I was not prepared to pay over £60 (which was the re-sale value) either. I was heartbroken. But initiative kicked in and had a little search on the interweb and found these dupes on EBay for £18.99. I was pleasantly surprised on the amount of dupes there actually was on there. With anything on EBay I like to check out that the company is actually legitimate but it had plenty of good reviews and 3 days delivery was included in the price with 30 days return policy so I thought it was worth a shot.  Admittedly I was still quite disheartened as I wasn’t sure whether they were going to be like the original Zara trousers that I had fallen in love with… View Post

Yellow is so on trend and I am definitely on board. Here are my top picks from the yellow trend with ideas and inspiration on how to style them.   Lazy Oaf – Moody Mustard Skirt – £60 I love this skirt however it is a little bit pricey. Usually not the sort of thing that I would go for although I have fully fallen in love with the colour and all the beautiful details on it. This take on the Denim Button-Up skirt is lovely and well worth the £60 for this statement piece. What I love the most about this skirt is the Mustard colour as it can be worn in both all year round. This skirt would look lovely with ankle boots and a fluffy jumper in autumn/winter and a crop top and trainers in spring/summer. At £60 this would be a beautiful investment for an… View Post
